This Thursday, 11 March, we're going to be brave and shave!

Howitt is taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave. Generous residents are giving up their time and their hair to raise money and awareness of Leukaemias, Lymphomas, Myelomas and other blood cancers.

Howitt Hall Society is throwing a BBQ, so come on down at 7pm (after our building evacuation) to support your Hall and to support the Leukaemia foundation. Click below to sponsor Team Howitt!

Want to improve your skills with English? Want to learn more about Australia and what makes it a great place to live? Want to meet new people and make friends? Then come down to the Ground Floor Common Room on Monday nights at 6pm for the Chatterbox program! Some Food and Drink provided! (Program runs until Week 5)

It's the first event in this, the Year of the Camel, and we're ready to party!

Come on down on 3 March at 6pm (after your floor meeting) to our Mardi Gras Dine In. The night is set to be absolutely packed with colour, glam, HHS elections, videos and slide shows from O week, and our first chance to get to know each other as a full Hall. You can dress up in Mardi Gras garb for the chance to win the coveted Howitt Best Dressed Prize.

Come along - it's a FREE two course dinner and drinks. It's all Halal and there are delicious vegetarian options.

A warm welcome to our new residents! The Howitt Hall RST and O week team have been working hard all summer to bring you an introduction to university life that you'll never forget. We're looking forward to meeting you this weekend and can't wait to show you the sights of Howitt, Monash, and around Melbourne.

And for our returning residents (Camels who just couldn't stay away!), hold on tight - only one more week until you're back in action, til you can meet the first years, and til The Year of the Camel begins.

 It is our pleasure to announce the 2010 Residential Support Team.

The RST consists of the College Head, Deputy College Head, Residential Support Assistant, and ten Resident Advisors (RAs), and their main jobs are to introduce new residents to the Hall and the University and to look after pastoral care and community development issues in the Hall.
