Residential Support Team

The RST is made up of the College Head, Deputy College Head, Residential Support Assistant (the RST Executive), and ten Resident Advisors (RAs).

At Howitt we have RAs on every floor who are charged with welcoming new residents, organising floor outings and activities, providing advice, helping when things don't go quite right, and generally just being awesome leaders in the Hall.

Ashleigh Barri

I will be your Residential Support Assistant for 2011 -- I am here to support the RAs and ultimately support you so feel free to drop by first floor anytime! Besides reading legislation and cases all day long, I love to workout, dance salsa and rock climb. Looking forward to meeting each and every one of you :)

(MRS Liaison RA) Hey guys, I'm Tony the 2011 MRS Liaison RA. I'm a second year Zoology/Marine & Freshwater Biology major. Born and raised in the country I’m acclimatising to living in the city still. When I'm not actually pretending to work I'm generally watching movies, at the gym or chatting to people in Howitt somewhere.

(Sports RA) Hey dudes and dudettes, I’m George, I’m an  easy going guy who enjoys pretty much anything, whether it be sports, music or just having a chat. I am also an avid procrasticleaner and have built up many skills during my first year. I am a 2nd year Engineering/science student and try to study hard, but you will often find me out and about looking for something else to do but work. So if you ever need a break, my door is always open.

Hannah Cooney

(Community Development RA) Hi, I'm Hannah. I'm back for my second year at Howitt and I'll be the Community Development Coordinator for 2011. I grew up in beautiful Shepparton but I've been a city kid from the northern 'burbs for the past few years. My hobbies include yoga, being silly and watching old Buffy episodes. I'm a med student too, so I sometimes find some time to study (but that usually just means reading my colour-by-numbers anatomy book). Howitt 2011 is going to be fantastic - congratulations on getting the good hall!

Hey guys, I'm Tim, right now I'm in the 2nd year of 5 with Science/Civil Engineering. When I'm not studying (which is far too often) I can usually be found hanging around the common room or courtyard, I'm always up for a chat or a game of pool. I love my sports, in particular hockey, but I'll be there for any and all Howitt sports.

Hey there! My name is Sophie and this year will be my third amazing year living at beloved Howitt. I’m studying my third year of Medicine at Monash Medical Centre (MMC) and am super excited about being an RA again and getting to know all the residents at Howitt Hall in 2011. I enjoy meeting new people, having a laugh, volunteering and spending time at the beach. I’m always willing for a chat and am looking forward to ensure that your time at Howitt is full of lasting memories and friendship.

(Communications RA) Hullo everyone! I'm Marc and I'm currently pursuing my PhD (doctoral degree) which will make me a "Dr." who knows nothing about medicine. My love affair with Howitt Hall dates back to my undergrad days, having since graduated with a B.CompSci. Besides my role as Rupert Murdoch-esque Communications RA, I also lecture in uni (was head tutor in 2010). Feel free to have a chat with me about anything under the sun, or join me in a nice game of Starcraft 2 or CoD (despite my students usually defeating me; I try my best :)

(Sports RA) Hey guys, I am Lucien or well you can call me Lu. I hail from the tiny island of Singapore that resides near the equator and am currently in my third year of a double major in Criminology and Psychology. I will also be half of the awesome pairing that would make your sports life incredible next year. So if you have any questions on sports, the arts faculty, Singapore or just aim at trying to find some form of procrastination, you know who to holler at.
